The Song of Solomon Chapter 3

The Song of Solomon

Chapter  3

¹ Upon my bed at night I sought him whom my soul loves; I sought him, but found him not; I called him, but he gave no answer.

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verse 1)

Oh God  my beloved Father, what a great loss it would be for me, if I was to lay my body to rest and rise again without even feeling Your presence and thanking You for the new day by means of prayer and communicating with You by means of a simple 'Hello' or 'Good Morning. My life would be so empty and boring without You. I pray that this will never be my God and Father Amen.

² " I will rise now and go about the city, in the streets and in the squares; I will seek him whom my soul loves." I sought him, but found him not.

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verse 2)

Oh God my Father I have also been going about my city, my soul my body my brain. I am thirsty to find You to talk with You, but I cannot find You. Moreover I know that You can find me. I despearately need You my God and Father where are You?"

³ The sentinels found me, as they went about in the city. "Have you seen him whom my soul loves?" ⁴ Scarcely had I passed them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go until I brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verses 3 to 4)

Oh God my Father throughout these fourty-five years of relationship with You, I had been asking many sentinels, keepers of the faith priests, about You, because I have a strong feeling of thirst and need of You in my life, however You chose the day when You visited me, and took me into the inner chamber so that the relationship could actually take place. On that blessed day when You revealed yourself to me a new relationship began which to this very day is still alive. I thank You God my Father Amen.

⁵ I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles or the wild does: do not stir up or awaken love until it is ready!

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verse 5)

Oh God my beloved Father, in the present my heart has no space for human love. It is full of misery and at times anger especially formy wife. I have even lost the smile of happiness. I pray that You help me in reneweing my soul and in finding true and real happiness again Amen.

⁶ What is that coming up from the wilderness, like a coloumn of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all the fragrant powders of the merchant?

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verse 6)

Oh  God my Father, since I cannot perceive Your smell I can only compare to the perfume of the flowers and if the creation smells so nice, how much more the creator. I pray that You will always keep me close so that I will always experience Your love beauty and splendor Amen.

⁷ Look, it is the litter of Solomon! Around it are sixty mighty men of the mighty men of Israel, ⁸ all equipped with swords and expert in war, each with his sword at his thigh because of alarms by night.

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verses 7 to 8)

Look up oh God my Father! Following You and giving pursuit are a multitude of Chrisitans and Roman Catholics and all those who believe in You even those from other religions. The weapons that they are armed with are not swords, spears or daggers, but the Holy Book of the Bible and the Rosary Beads lethal weapons against the forces of evil. Let us all join this multitude of people and be counted among their number! Join me in this song and prayer ;"Oh when the Saints came marching in as in the following link credited it to Kids Songs English

Oh When the Saints go marching in

⁹ King Solomon made himself a palanquin from the wood of Lebanon. ¹⁰ He made its posts of silver, its back of gold, its seat of purple; its interior was inlaid with love. Daughters of Jerusalem, come out. ¹¹ Look, O daughters of Zion, at King Solomon, at the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, on the day of the gladness of his heart.

(The Song of Solomon Chapter 3 verses 9 to11)

Oh God my beloved Father, how easy it is to fall into the trap of being worshipped. Solomon instead of using his horse or chariot made a palanquin from heavy materials and I feel sorry for those people who had to carry him. I pray oh God my Father that even if one day I will be in a position of power I will never abuse such a role at the expense of others Amen.

Oh God my beloved Father, You are my beloved one, my only loved one and in You alone do I seek the reason of my existence. I thank You for loving me so much even though I may not always show my love and gratitude in return. I pray that You continue to change me from my old self to the new self created according to Your will Amen.
